Well getting late in the season with only a few weekends left, I had nothing to show for it until about noon today. A nice little doe was walking slowly about 100 yrds off. I lined up the sights on my 91/30, and it knocked it straight to the ground without taking another step. Not too impressive, but I got a kick out of doing it with a $100 70 yr old rifle. Ammo was wolf gold 180 grn SPs. Lets see your Mosin Nagant Hunting pics.

The fascist never had a chance.

M44 with 203 grain SPs from Brown Bear. Forty yards. It didn't go anywhere.

Good job.
I use an M-39 with Czech LPS...

I have shot far too many animals to post pix, Ive shot Otter to Brown Bears, and watch a fellow finish off a 35 ft. Minki whale with a true 91........but I know the smirk when you think about just how inexpensive such a great Rifle is.:D

I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with my mosin. But then, I was never able to practice with it.
