My cheap belt is on its way out. It's worked decent, but doesn't give the heaver guns good enough support on those long days.
I looked a little bit online, and found lots of gunbelts that were way more then I want to pay for a belt. What are some options for me that are around $40 or lower?

There are not a lot of purpose-built gun belts for $40, at least in leather. I do endorse theWilderness Instructor Belt. (http://http://store.thewilderness.com/product_info.php?cPath=43&products_id=1186) I suggest the 5-stitch for added stiffness at only a Lincoln more.

The 5.11 Leather belt is about $40 but make sure to order one size big.

Once it's buckled, it's like a solid plastic ring around out. Doesn't twist or give. The most comfortable belt I've ever owned!

Simply Rigged (http://simplyrugged.com/leather_goods/index.html) makes outstanding leather products including leather belts. You can even get a holster and belt died in the same color!! LOL

I chose not to mess around and went straight to the BeltMan. 100 bucks later and I have a belt that seems like it could have survived in Hiroshima in August of 1945.

Yes I overpaid for what I got.

But I am by no means disappointed with what I received either. This thing is incredible.

I too bit the bullet and ordered from BeltMan ... Beyond complaints about the wait it is hard to find anyone with a bad opinion of his product.
You can save a few bucks and get a belt almost as good from Crossbreed

I have both, and the BM product is slightly better than the CB ... but if you're ordering holsters anyway, you might be able to accomplish one-stop shopping at CrossBreed and save on shipping. CB does a NRA discount as well, the code for it is on RetailMeNot.com
