My cousin has a friend who is wanting information on a pistol her dad had and is looking to sell. It is a Colt Police Special in a 32-20 WCF with a serial number 2073**. I have seen it and would rate it in good condition, just old.
Any history or value would be appreciated as she is really looking to sell but doesnt want to get screwed over and I figured some people here would be able to help.
Thanks,
Jason

Colt didn't make a "Police Special" model. However they did make the following in that caliber:
1. Police Positive Special
2. New Model Army or Navy.
The model should be marked on the side of the barrel. Pick which of the above two it is, and we can come up with the information you want.
It is most likely a Police Positive Special, made in 1920. If so, and depending on condition it would probably be worth around $275 +/- $50.00

Unless there is something unusual here, at $600 she should run, not walk. In like new condition, Colt Police Positive and Police Positive Special's are generally found in the $400 and under range.
