About 8 years ago one of my close friend's father was having a Yard sale. He had a old rifle that he did not want to sale to just any one. I offer him $5. He took it.

I knew nothing about the rifle and the time except it had a lot of rust on the barrel and it was a 22.

When I got the rifle some bugs had take up the barrels as a home after cleaning it out I took it out to the ranch. I was able to hit a finch at 50 yards every time. After about 20 rounds we called it a day and came home. It has sat in my safe for the last 8 years.

I was thinking about refinishing it and turning into a nice little training gun. I know I could get something else but I like the way this gun feels.

I was wondering when it was made. I have looked the rifle over and for the life of me I can't find a seiral number on it. I have a feeling I am just missing it but I can't fine one. Does it have one? Is there any historic value. I don't think so and it is pretty ugly. Any info you could provide would be great.

Ahhh, the Winchester 67. Mines a 67A which is just some stock differences with possibly a longer barrel as well. I'm not sure. I have great memories with that rifle, as it's what I first started out with, and I will hopefully be able to start my kid with the same. Accuracy is excellent and it's great to teach by using the one shot method. Mine doens't have any serial numbers on it either, and the rifles are from the 60's era. I think if you looked in the Blue Book (I don't have one handy...) you would find the periods that they were manufactured, and that's probably the closest you'll come in my experience. Good one to hold onto and pass down. There's no collector value, and the most I've seen one sold for is $135 in real decent condition.
