I recently purchased an older H&R 926 9 shot, break-top, .22 revolver.
I have always wanted one of these guns because the H&R revolver was the handgun most often referenced in all of the trapping and outdoor survival literature I read as a kid. I know the pistol is not the greatest gun in the world, but I just had to add it to my collection and the price was right.
Now, the SA trigger is serviceable, but the DA trigger is like trying to juice a lemon with your index finger. If I take the revolver to a gunsmith, would he be able to adjust the trigger pull and smooth out the trigger? I know that this is akin to making a purse out of a sow's ear, but I don't care.
I know that I could play around with trimming coils off of the springs, but I would rather a gunsmith work on the gun as my life is just too busy.
