I went to the gun show today in Des Moines, found a AR lower for $130 from a Superior arms company. Anyway i told the old guy at the booth that i only needed the upper and already ordered a kit from del-ton, and that i had ordered some PMags. Anyways he seemed to think this was a problem and said that 90% of people coming in with problems were caused by plastic mags.

So anyone have any problems with them? I bought a 20 round metal mag just so i'd have a smaller one that didn't hang down past the grip. I've heard that pmags are the favorite right now. so Just wondering whats up.

Some of the earlier Pro-Mags had trouble.

Until last month I have never used them but they seem to do very well. And have a window which makes sense.

Many have sworn by them and I am beginning to come around.

PMAG's flat out rock! They are some of the best mags that you can use in your AR. Buy as many as your budget will allow..

P-Mags... Best AR mags in the industry. Run over it in the dirt, jump up and down on it. Knock people out with it, Read a book with it, or watch a movie with it. There isn't anything a Magpul P-Mag can't do!

The window is a very good deal, they're cool, and I'm old and cranky and don't like anything.

I went to a show today also, because I went to pickup a mint Polish M44 I won on gunbroker last week for $250.The dealer was at the show so I told him Id just go pick it up there. From what I saw at the show that M44 would have been sticker at $500.99% of everything was way overpriced even ammo. One guy had Greek HXP listed at $15 a box.Thank goodness for the internet.

There were a couple deals though in a sea of gouging.Run of the mill Mosin for $99 at one table.Saw a excellent condition Enfield jungle carbine, but the dealer copped a attitude with me when I tried to haggle so goodbye......

At one table with a huge dealer I couldn't help but get sassy when I was looking at AR's and he said if he could help me and I said no,I'll wait till the prices come back down again. He said ha! fat chance, and then I said yeah, and everybody swore gas would be $6 a gallon by now and he just kind of shut up.As I walked away I saw him another coworker chatting about my exchange of words with him,I only hope everybody around me heard me too,and changed their mind about buying their WASR listed for $9oo.They had a Hungarian AK listed for $999,the guy I bought the M44 from had one on the table for $675.One guy had a Century......a Century! FAL with a price of 2K!

Always walk the entire show before you buy............I'll never understand why dealers work to load and unload all their stuff for a show, drive from out of town then try to jack up the prices at a show only to have to haul most of it back home because they won't compete with the internet or at least be somewhat reasonable.Or maybe Im wrong in assuming most people learn about the items they are going to buy before plopping down $900 on a WASR at a gunshow that they can get for $600 even in today's current gouging atmosphere by shopping around or using a auction site.

atblis,Im in central FL.Yes run of the mill Mosins at a show go for typically $120 though the one guy had them for $99.My mint M44 for $500?,I was just guessing since there weren't any and those have dried up a bit in availability but seeing what prices were on everything else yeah, probably would have been, but even on Gunbroker mint Polish ones are often listed pretty high also,I bite my time and waited for the right priced one.....

But there is no excuse for a WASR at $999 or a Century FAL at $2K gunshow or not......:barf:
