been shooting handguns shotguns .22's and ar15 for a long long time (I'm 40)

finally bought a hunting rifle picked up a remington 700 sps varmint in .308 with 26"heavy barrel with ugly green stock paid $490 with $40 mail in rebate at DICKS

I know the scope is probably junk so I'm not going to waste my time mounting it

now i need to buy dies and conversion kit for my Dillon 550 and start reloading again--haven't touched the reloder in probably 6 yrs:eek:

CONGRATS!!!! I have 2 remingtons in .308 and love them both! 700LTR and 660. Get some good glass and have a BLAST! I reload my .308 on a single stage press and pistol ammo on my progressive.

Nice buy. Dick's actually has pretty good prices on ammunition, too. I payed $18 for 20 Winchester .30-06 150 gr. power points.

Might be a PITA to lug through the woods, though.

congrats. great rifle. I have the 700 CDL in 30-06 but would love to have the rifle you just picked up. the 26" heavy barrel should make it a long range tac driver.
