I am getting ready to reload some 45 ACP. What is the primer of choice? Are some better than others and is there anything to look out for?

Thanks in advance.

I usually go with whatever when it comes to pistol primers, I don't shoot in matches "not that good a pistol shooter". Bench rifle is another story altogether tho.

The cheapest? You can use CCI, Winchester, Remington, Federal or even Wolf. They all will make your powder go bang...

Goose2, I use Winchester large pistol primer for .45ACP. Will be ordering another 10K on Monday since have use close to 10K this year already.

I like Winchester primers best but for no real reason. CCI, Federal, Magtech and Wolf primers seem to be just as good so buy what you can find on sale.

Powder Valley has Wolf primers for $90/5000 in stock. Widener's has them for $89/5000 and are also in stock. Winchester LPP @ Powder Valley are $115/5000 and CCI are $107.50/5000.
