I am looking to buy a Marlin 336 lever in 30-30 cal.
But, I am not sure about all the different versions.
Is there a "sticky", past posts, or articles that explains all the letter acronyms that follow the 336?
Like 336C, 336SC, 336CS, 336AS, 336T, 336M, etc.?
How many versions are there to choose from?
Any help would be appreciated.

Since it has been over a month with no response, I guess nobody knows or they think I should already know the answer.
Happy New Year anyway.

I suggest you make another post and title it Marlin 336 - What are the various models? You'll get what you want quickly. I can tell you it is mostly about the wood except for the model with the straight stock.

You might try the 336 Club here. More than a bit of info, including answers to your first question. Right now about 87 pages, more than 2150 posts.
