I want to sell my Glock ???

I am interested in selling my Glock 22.
After firing about 500 rounds throught it, I have decided this Glock 22 is not for me (nothing is wrong with it -- I just don't like the way it "feels" when shooting or carrying).
It is a early production Glock 22 in 90%+ condition and has 1 pre-ban mag plus 1 post-ban mag.
My question:
With the proceeds from the sale or trade of my Glock 22, what NEW
sub-compact .40 can I reasonably expect to get without adding any additional money into the pot (or just a little more $$$)?
Any suggestions or ideas for a sub-compact .40?
 :what:
Thanks...

Steyr M40 (or S40 for a subcompact).

Sig P239.
Whoops - that's gonna cost ya. I think you're gonna face that with most anything though...

I think you're going to have to shell out at least $150 to get a new compact .40 for the trade.
The only compact .40s that I've had any experience with were a Beretta 96 Centurion (hardly a compact, really) and a Sig 239. I would take a Glock 22 (which I have also owned) hands down over either of the above. The Beretta had too much muzzle flip for my tastes and the Sig was a bit too small for the .40 S&W.
Regardless of money, I'd say your best bet is a Sig 229 or another relatively heavy, medium frame .40.

I'd go with the Steyr M40 or a Kahr in 40..both are good guns, small and easy to shoot..

If you're not wanting to add some $$ to the pot & it doesn't sound like you wnat another GLock....hmmmm...I'd look at S&W and the Beretta 9000...maybe a nice small j-frame wheelgun if you'd be interested in 38/357mag :) Your options really open up if you add some money into the mix ;) SIG, Kahr, USPc 40

The two that I would suggest have already been sugested. The Steyr M40 or S40 if you can find one or the Sig p239 if you want to save up some money for a little while. I have one of each and it's always a hard choice as of which I want to take out with me.

CDNN has the Stery M40 and S40 at give-away prices almost--right around $300. The M40 is roughly G23 size and the S40 is roughly G27 size. The Steyrs have some the best ergonomics on the market.

Doesnt the Springfield XD have a more ergonomic grip than the Glock. A friend has one and he likes his. I have read nothing but rave reviews on these guns in everything from Gun Tests to Guns & Ammo

They offer gun specials in their catalog.
You can download it in .pdf, or request a catalog mailed to you.
By the time it gets to you, it will prolly be obsolete.
148 pages of hardware.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, hardware.

Not to throw a coal on the fire or anything....But did you ever think that maybe part of the problem is that you don't like the recoil of the 40S&W. I had a G22 and fired a G23 and G27. It's not that I don't like Glocks, I have G19. I just don't like the recoil of the 40S&W round.

Good question -- I like the .40 round alot -- I have fired a few other brand's FULL-SIZE pistols and enjoyed shooting them.
PRICE CHECK --
Many of you suggested that I look into the Sig P239.
What is a good price for a P239 in .40 and in 9mm (new in the box with night sites)?
:D  :D
Thanks...

Depends on the region. P239 with night sites would cost some where around $550 to $600 NIB. The recoil is not bad on the Steyr, my M40 has about the same or little less felt recoil than a 6906.

Does the Steyr has a similiar "trigger" to the Glock?
The Glock's trigger is one of the things I don't like about it.

the steyr has a similar trigger to glock though the steyr has few more safety items. safety just in front of the trigger and a built in lock. round in chamber indicator.
sights on the steyr are unique and good for fast target aquisition.
steyr's trigger is short and light. you can turn off the safety and pull the trigger in one pull of the finger. kinda like a long double action pull. the good price on the steyr may not last. steyrs are made in austria like glocks. the recoil with steyr in .40S&W is tame you dont get much muzzle flip with 180gr. atleast not as much as a beretta 96.
