I am interested too. I am planning to buy an SR9 for my next purchase and am kind of surprised at the lack of discussion on these boards about SR9s.

I've held the XDs, the M&Ps, and my personal preference is for the way the SR9 grip feels.

I have a SR9 and find it to be an outstanding value. Mine was one of the first out, so it had to be sent back for the trigger modification (turn around time was 6 days) Did not have any trouble with it before oor after the recall. Accrurate, feels good in my hand, trigger is smooth. Buy it!!!

I took my CCW class on Nov. 17 and my instructor had a LOT of guns. One of them was a Ruger SR9 and he REALLY liked it. It was his favorite 9mm. We went to the range and that was one of the guns he took with him, so I got to shoot a mag through it. I really like it. It's very thin, got a nice grip, and handles great. And it's very reasonably priced when compared to 9mm's from other major manufacturers. It's also very easy to take apart, clean and put back together. Nice gun.

I'm thinking of buying all three of my kids one for Christmas, fwiw.

The Wife and I have an SR9.. It is a great gun. Slimmest 9mm available, fits the hand great (Like the swappable grip piece), 17+1 is awesome, kick is a little more than the M9, but to be expected with the lighter weight...

We put 100 rds through it the other day, shot flawlessly.

The wife is planning on using it for CC.

First, let me say that I'm a revolver fan. I grew up with them and love the looks and feel. I could never warm up to a bottom feeder even though I had several through the years. After toying with a couple more my interest in pistols was tweaked again. I decided I wanted a full size 9mm when I first saw the SR9. I did the research on several and on the recall and still wanted it. I bought a new one that had already been upgraded. It is absolutely outstanding. Feels great, accurate and eats anything I feed it. OK, it didn't like my way too light reloads but my friends Sig and MP9 didn't either. Time to add a couple more tenths. The trigger was a bit rough at first but is getting real nice now. I'm surprised that there isn't more posted on it here as well. I like it better than the Smith's, Sigs, H&K's and Kimbers I've shot even though they are sweet. I think it's the best bang for the buck on the market right now.

A friend of mine, let me shoot his. He has one of the post-recall SR9s. I immediately liked the way the gun felt in my hand. It reminded me of my CZ 75, with its grip angle and low bore axis. The high profile sights were very easy to pick up and the gun shot to the point of aim for me. No malfunctions of any kind, and I thought the trigger was decent.

If I were in the market for another 9mm, this one would be near the top of my list.

I purchased one a few weeks ago. It had already had the recall work done by the factory. I have a P95 and actually looked at buying another one until I found out that the decock model had been discontinued. I shot mine for the first time two weekends ago. I put about 100 rounds (5 magazines) through it straight out of the box. No stripping and cleaning or anything. It functioned flawlessly. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this gun. After shooting it, I do not regret the purchase at all. Time will tell how the gun holds up, but if it is like any of my other Rugers, it will age slower than me.
