Probably. There is quite a bit of gophers around NW montana, and its mountainous here. I'm guessing theres even more in eastern Montana.

How far do you want to drive? If you're willing to drive to Broadus I can tell you where I found a humungous PD town a couple years ago. On public land to boot.

If I get offered a job in Glendive I interviewed for, I intend to drive all over that country looking for MSERT's.

No, and I just found out today I did not get the job. Maybe that is good, but I am still stuck in this prison town............
