Is there anything in the state that can be legally hunted with a .22 rifle? Whole bunch of folks got 'e but I don't think I've met a person who hunts with one. (I don't consider pest control hunting)

here in MO, the .22 is legal for pretty much anything except deer and turkey, though that hasn't stopped some folk from using on both deer and turkey.

Why not turkey? I don't see why a .22LR wouldn't kill a turkey. ( I can see why on deer of course)

becuase turkey is limited to shotgun, it isn't legal to use any rimfire or centerfire rifle/pistol cartridge on turkey in this state. I personally think the restriction limiting turkey hunters to only shotguns is foolish, but unfortunately I don't make the rules. I'd love to use my .22lr, or a .223 for turkey here, but alas, the law is what it is.

Don't forget armadillos, barn rats, starlings, etc.
