I've always wanted one. Got the chance and now I have an early Christmas.

I lucked up on it. Never seen but one in my life before this one. Had to have it. BTW, it is a 20 gauge.

i have a rip-off of that gun, the Verona SX405. its now sold under the H&R label as their "Excell". its been a fantastic gun. i only use it for clay games but have no doubt that it would make an excellent hunter too. nice find. that's a handsome gun.

The Black Magic is a special order of the Franchi AL-48 made exclusively for American Arms Co. Only a few thousand were made. They didn't sell well due to their price. American Arms must have thought that they had a gold mine in them and priced them accordingly.

This is only the second one I've ever seen. Had to have it.

If you get tired of it, I'll give it a home. Might even make you a few dinero for your troubles. American Arms overpriced the Black Magic and they are rare. People just wouldn't pay their prices and they discontinued them. The Franchi 48 is basically the same gun without the bells and whistles at much less price. At 5 lbs and change, it will make a fine upland gun.
