Have looked at the SIG 229 Sport (1600), the
CZ champion (1600) and the CZ IPSC Standard (1100)
and like them all. Any experiences with any of them. And does anyone know the availability os same and which distributors. Thanks in advance.

The IPSC Standard is a fantastic pistol, but does not cost anywhere near $1100. It is also not comped in the US, although Mike at CZ USA said some Modifieds were imported early on. Look on Gunbroker and you should be able to get an IPSC ST new for around $800-825. Mine is reliable, accurate, and fast. Nothing fits my hand like a CZ/CZ clone.

The Champion is on a different frame, so would have a different feel but I am sure is a nice pistol. Along the same lines are the EAA Silver and Gold Team models. Cratz2 is very impressed with his.

If want a CZ call CZ Connection. They seem to have the best prices on the fancy ones.
