Hi all,

I am looking for a well made brand/bag which provides an easy to
carry gear bag, with enough compartments to be able secure
my stuff easily, including my 15.4 inch laptop.

I would prefer this bag to be not to conspicuous, ie there shouldn't be
written TACTICAL or anything like that on it. What I am basically
looking for is a bag which will hold everything from my laptop, to
writing utensils, documents, water bottle/flask, a knife, lighter,
laptop mouse, and all my other stuff.

I would like it to be very weather resistant and of high quality,
so it will protect my stuff with ease.

I have been looking at blackhawk's executive briefcase:

but the price is pretty steep and in any case I would prefer a review
by someone first.

dillonprecision.com has one. I have no experience with the blackhawk or the dillon but everything else I've bought from dillon has been of good quality.

Thanks for your help, but I was actually looking at something slightly bigger, and
I do not really have a need for a hidden sidearm compartment. I do not directly plan
on taking a pistol with me when going to a lecture, in part because also i still do not own one :p

Hey its my hand.. :D
There are a lot of Armordilla's going out of the shop lately..
I gave one to my mother for her to use, and she's a drivers ed teacher.
It is big enough for you to fit ANYTHING you might need, just don't weigh yourself down..

I love this one. Holds alot of goodies. Has a seperate compartment for your laptop, seperate compartment with padded dividers for other equipment, and a top compartment for anything more. There are two side pockets that will hold the small bottles of water. Ritz or Wolf Cameras carries these for about $100. My EMP rests nicely in a padded compartment. I dont use this as a range bag, more like my briefcase.
