I found a vintage Smith 28-2 6" today that looked brand new. Using what I learned from the revolver evaluation thread I was happy to determine that the cylinder locked up very tight in all positions and there was no noticeable play front to back or side to side of the cylinder.

The 28-2 was the frist handgun I bought in 1972 and like a fool I sold it many years ago. Now I am back in the fold with a beautiful P&R Smith. Oh, the trigger.......

Very nice. I love mine, but it is not nearly as nice as yours.

Gorgeous! Those Highway Patrolmans are great guns that will last a lifetime or two.
