I aquired a Saiga 20 from my brother but don't have a manual on it. I've been reading the threads on the Saiga 12. Does it apply to the 20 gauge also?
What are the differences from the settings from 1-2? Can I shoot magnum loads and slugs through this also? Where can I get aftermarket accessories for this? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Ok. Good questions.

Setting 1 = Less gas. For 3" magnum rounds and some hotter 2 3/4.
Setting 2 = More gas. For 2 3/4" rounds.

Is your barrel 19" or 22"? Does it have a threaded end or not?

LEAD slugs should be fine out of both but the 22" has a fixed choke and may cause problems (although I haven't heard of any).

Keep reading the S12 forums. The 20 and 12 are sisters they work the same way.

it has the 22" barrel and no threads. Are the threaded ones better? Can it be threaded for chokes?

Saigas can be threaded for WinChokes or a Poly Choke II.

The Saiga 20 goes together exactly like the Saiga 12. Same instructions apply. Setting 1 is to be used for magnum rounds and some buckshot standard loads. Settings 2 is to be used for birdshot and lighter standard loads.

The Saiga 20 tends to be a little more finicky than its bigger brother. You may have to shoot magnum rounds through it until you break it in.

And harder to find aftermarket parts for. Better to stick with the 12 or 410.

how many rounds should it take to break it in? Do i have to get a different magazine for 3" shells?
