The second post has what appears to be an 870 with a box magazine. A google search shows no evidence this ever existed, but there it is. What is it? Where can I get one? How does it work?

I hear from the Saiga guys how great they are for competition where you have to reload a lot, this looks like another elegant solution.

Well, now I feel stupid; I skipped right over the 7615 part. I apologize for getting so excited.

That being said, when I was searching for an 870 box mag mod, I saw where someone had made one for a Mossberg 500; has anyone seen one of those & are they still being made/sold?

The 7615 was desigened and released with an eye towards the law enforcement patrol rifle market. The idea being that it's pump shotgun like appearance would be less militaristic and less frightening to civilians.

I am not a civilian but if I were and the SHTF in my neighborhood the first thing I would want to see would be the SWAT boys with the big guns knockin down doors and cracking skulls. Not some uniformed cop with a softened up pump rifle firing the civilian .223 round. But that's just me.
