I brought my H&K USP Tactical .45ACP pistol to the range a few days ago for a magazine through it with my newly received Advanced Armament Corporation Evolution 45 silencer. Just thought I'd share a video and a few pictures. :)

Video link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1p4A-X6lr0k) This is firing WWB .45ACP 230gr ball. The silencer is being fired wet with about 5mL of water.

Very nice! I have a USP Tactical .45 also. Where did you get the suppressor? Sounds quiet.

I bought it from Alan Samuel in Dumont - GREAT guy, if you haven't gone to chat with him and see his inventory, you really ought to. It's well worth the drive. :)

As for quiet? It's within a stone's throw of my .22lr Buckmark with silencer... this .45 silencer is SPOOKY quiet. AAC makes a damn good product.

EDIT: Here is a link to Alan's website... http://www.mgtsinc.com/

hey nice gun and silencer.. you should fix your stance though.. Im not expert but that looks uncomfortable. maybe a little more sideways and try LEANING FORWARD!! it will help you.. im not being a jerk or anything, but someone saw me shoot the way you did and corrected me, it was great advise, i shot better than ever after that.

HEY! Shooting glasses! No joke, there's always a chance it'll toss a case backwards.

But that is an uncontestably sweet set-up, sir.

I assure you, I have a significantly better stance than that and always wear shooting glasses. The gent shooting was a friend, not myself. :)

I have a Tac as well set up with a Nexus III suppressor. And your rig seems at least 30% quieter than mine. Although I use lithium grease. I have read that the water has a tendency to initiate corrosion when combined with the gasses and fowling. Even though It is stainless can, And the source was some joe smoe, I am overly cautious.

Are those handloads?
Have you shot 185 grainers yet?
Where do you feed the water, front or rear?

Standard WWB 230gr factory loads, not tried anything else, and I pour water down the barrel into the silencer.

And yes, it's ABSURDLY quiet.

I've tried again and again and again to correct him, but he's still fairly new to guns.

Still, I have to say, there's something heartwarming about an Australian guy moving here and deciding guns are a GOOD thing - then some of his first experiences involve NFA items. :D

Thanks for the info. Maybe after ski season. I bought the Tac with the thought of getting a suppressor at some point.

Worth every single cent for a good product. From experience with other silencers, stay away from YHM pistol silencers unless you don't have the coin for a AAC or SWR silencer.

Dumont? Where at in Dumont? Didn't know there was anything there besides a gas station.

No kidding! Go to his website and call or e-mail him, he'll give you directions to his place. :)

The Evolution has an integrated Nielsen device, doesn't it? Would you happen to know if it works well enough to cycle a 1911?

Yes it does and yes it will. Both the Evo45 and SWR's HEMS (both I and II) will cycle Browning-type autopistols just fine. :)
