I owned a Lorcin once it was a pile of junk and had a serious problem feeding anything. My suggestion sell it and get something a bit more reliable. You can keep it as a plinker but don't bet your life on it.

You should join the Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez forum, you will get a lot of help there, I am a member and I will make sure you get your account activated as soon as possible.

I'm trying to ease off a little, in the auto-pistol forum there is a battle we have been fighting for weeks over whether or not you should use a .25 at all for personal defense. I regard it as the absolute worst single caliber choice there is.

If you DO plan on carrying it, and there's no way we're going to talk you out of it, get the best defensive load you can find, and shoot 200 rounds of it through that pistol. If it eats all of them, then it's considered minimally reliable. If it fails to feed, load, extract, or fire even once, start over again at zero. If you just can't make it work, no matter what, put it in the "Fun to shoot" pile and get something else. (It's not worth paying a gunsmith to fix it.) If you shoot that many rounds and STILL like shooting it, I suppose you're ready to go.

If I took one more .25 off the street, it's worth it. :)

Seriously though, what did I say that was bad?

Bury it with full honors in a tidal marsh.

Then, and without inordinate delay attributable to a grieving widow, get a used Model 10.

Can you post a photo of the broken Lorcin? I'm curious what exactly happened.

I won't make fun of other people's firearms, but I will agree that .25ACP is a horrible caliber to use for self-defense.

Today my lorcin fell apart in my hands.
Did you happen to inadvertently push in the take-down button at the rear of the slide?
I'm also quite curious as to what fell apart on it and under what circumstances this occurred.

Ok, if you pushed the take-down, by mistake or otherwise, it didn't "fall apart in your hands" in the common use of the phrase.

Installing the firing pin incorrectly is also not the fault of the pistol.

Then, and without inordinate delay attributable to a grieving widow, get a used Model 10.

I have a Lorcin 25 can a lorcin be a good pockect pistol.

So, you DID read the original post, right? Used Model 10s are normally 3" or 4" K-frame revolvers. Used is also commanding close to $250 for "used until they can be identified primarily by the maker's markings".

Just how big ARE your pockets?

I think that, as a pocket pistol was requested, a Ruger LCP, or a Kel-Tec P3AT would be a better choice for him. Actually fits in the pocket, and is more powerful.
