I made the knife for the movie. The special edition is slightly larger than the movie knife.

Lint to TOPS is incorrect. http://www.topsknives.com/
The Tops version will be made of 1095 as opposed to the S30V Stainless used in the original.
Overall, its neat idea. At least from a marketing standpoint. I'm sure the market will be flooded with knock-offs from China for the fantasy knife crowd that does most of their knife shopping at flea markets and Bud K catalogs.
I have a feeling this one will generate the same results as the Tom Brown Tracker. Some will love it. Most will hate it. Others will buy it just for the novelty of having a "movie knife" like we've seen with the First Blood/Rambo series, The Hunted, and even the Emerson Kerambit from the original Punisher. I'm sure that movie did more for the sale of Kerambits than anyone expected.
Personally, there are too many things about this knife that I just don't like. Probably a fine choice if you're a vengeful vigilante nut case who somehow never even sees a cop. For every day use, camping, hunting, woodcraft, kitchen chores, and even self defence, there are much better choices than that thing.
Just my 2¢.

It's definitely a big knife. Perhaps you could explain its blade shape?

The shape of the blade as a Bolo.
Yes it's a big knife.....and yes it does have many uses.
Some won't like it, and some will.
I live in the mountains....those nice places that people look at from the top or bottom and say how Beautiful.....but in between the top and bottom are places were men seldom go.
The underbrush is as thick as a brick wall, and there are creatures that city folk never see like wild boar who love the thicket.
so, a small knife is useless, and a machete is just to long and light.
Those are the places this knife handles with ease. It's short enough to get some swing in tight spaces, heavy enough to easily cut through the toughest brush
vines and up to 4" trees with ease. Knives with the same intent but a different profile have been called Smatchets.
You can dig a hole with the point if needed, and the point is not intended for penetration, it just follows the sweet spot....which if you know about swords, and longer knives is the just behind the place were the belly on that knife is the widest.
the sweet spot is the place were most impact occurs, and on this particular knife is the strongest area of the blade.
The teeth on the spine are also intended for use on brush, in places were you can't even stand up let alone swing your arm.......they have helped me
and will anyone who ever finds them selves....Out There.
So that's about it.
the knife is what it is......
The fact that a modern day movie Wyatt Earp got a hold if it is inconsequential.
It is not now either in my version or the TOPs version cheap China made junk....LOL
It's fully functional, plenty useful and fits the hand like a glove.
It is kind of nice to have a knife I made in a movie, and as for Frank Castle....
a.k.a. the Punisher....here is a short review on the movie from my web site..
Thanks to all who read and comment. My 15 min of fame will soon pass and I appreciate your interest.
I won't attempt an
objective review. My knife is in it....LOL
I loved the movie.
It was made by hard driving people about a hardened character. who refuses to ignore the darker side of realitys we all face in today's world .
He has perfected the job of human trash removal .
The word RELENTLESS (Websters Dictionary defines the term)
re-lent-less; Unmoved by love or pity: Unceasing, as without mercy. Fits this guy to a T.
Some people can't stomach the truth that this character illustrates so well.
Frank Castle is doing a job......he's doing it because a million
others who 's job it really is ...are to soft, fat, corrupt , scared
or lazy to do Justice.
Frank does it without a mask or a cape, he says little about it because deep inside it hurts him to know that this is the
only answer to a problem. Unfettered, the corrupt dish out untold human misery.
Frank is the sin eater, the True Dark Knight.
Unlike Batman, Superman, Spiderman and the rest of the comic crew, Frank Castle is a modern day Wyatt Earp.
He promptly and effectively answers the call in the order received.
Thanks to Ray Stevenson, Lexi Alexander, Jon Barton and all for this Great Movie.

Daniel,
Thanks for not taking offence in my post. The "vigilante nut case" comment was not aimed at you or anyone that would own that knife. It was in regards to Frank Castle. Should have made that clear. While he is the hero of the movie, he'd be labled a vengeful mad man or a "vigilante nut case" in real life.:p
Congrats on making the big screen!

I've been a Punisher fan for years. ;) (Maybe half my life, actually.)
The knife does look like an excellent hacker. I just wanted to hear your reasoning, not presume my own opinions.
I'll second Rupestris' congratulations. :)

I like it.
For some reason I do. I would love to have one. And I am a long time fan of the Punisher from when I was young and I remember reading the comic that had his first appearance, Amazing Spiderman 129.
Anyway, I like it, for whatever that is worth.
