Get yerself some "Minimally expanding foam" at the Home Depot and fill it up. When it drys saw off the ooze out with a razor knife, drill a hole for an appropriately sized piece of round stock, steel, brass, whatever you can get cheaply and epoxy it in your newly drilled hole, replace butt plate/pad. This will help the stock from sounding and feeling hollow as well. Strength from filling the cavity is also a positive by product of this operation. Tape up the outside of the stock before starting, this stuff is stick and nasty. Not many solvents will cut it, even MEK and Acetone have trouble with it, dont get any on the "Pretty parts" or yourself, you will have to "Wear it off" :) Enjoy

There are some weight available from Brownells, look in the shotgun recoil reducers. But you could just melt some wheel weights and cast them to your needed shape in a plaster of paris mould. Then just slip it into the hollow in your Marlins stock.
