After surfing around , reading all the probs with every car brands. I decided to get a Rodeo cause it was affordable (cheap),low miles (17,700). Even after the warranty runs out,if I have to do any repair on it, it still costs less than some other trucks. "SAVE more money for AMMOs and paper TARGETs!!" Lets have my fingers cross and hope that nothing will break down for awhile.

Any pros and cons? Any good Isuzu forums would you recommend?
Thanx for your time!

I bought my made in Indiana Rodeo in '95 and love it. I plan on driving it for another 5-10 years. I've never done any REAL serious 4-wheeling, since it's my main transportation, but I do use it off road a dozen or so times a year, and have never come close to getting stuck. I've driven around stuck in the mud Dodge Rams and F150's on more than one occassion :D. Labor Day weekend as a matter of fact- I pulled a 4x4 F150 out of the mud. Get good tires if you don't have them already. Good luck!

My wife drives a '98 Amigo V6 and it is a kick ??? little truck, and the little brother of the Rodeo. When offroading she drives circles around other vehicles. The only time we go it stuck, she drove it in a way to deep "puddle". She likes puddles and despite my cries of "For the love of god STOP" she managed to drive it into a pool which put water over the hood. When I walked/swimmed around the front of it the bottom droped above my head 1ft in front of the vehicle. I am 6'1". Good thing she stoped when she did. However the mud was past the axels. It took a S10, a F150, and her 215hp at full blast to drag it out after it spent 2 hours in salty mud, silt and water. The truck suffer no ill effects, no water in the hubs, engine, oil or anything. But you had to see the face of the gas station guy when we pulled in covered in silt, the truck covered completly in mud and (I kid you not) frogs hopping out of the door when we got out. Somehow it was all my fault. Go figure.

And to make this on topic, the only complaint is that in my state I have to lock my gun cases as it doesnt a have a lockable trunk as per local laws.

PS: Oh the fun of finding the towpoints to hook up tow straps when the darn things are under a foot of muddy water. Guess who had to dive under the pond scum and fumble with the them while trying not to inhale tadpoles.:scrutiny:

Yes, I traded my 98 525I in plus $1000.00 down for that truck. My payment only $ 491.98/month for 72 months.
I just got hooked up, it was a very stunning good deal!:)

Well, every day, I drive a grey 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage. It's paid for. It's small and nondescript, so I don't stand out from the crowd.

To go to the range, competitions, etc., I bought a 3/4 ton chevy van. It's paid for. It's got some body damage, but it isn't bad, and it doesn't use oil. If I didn't shoot benchrest, I'd probably have a small truck for camping.

$500/month will buy a LOT of toys.
