Just ordered the following Eberlestock HPG full-sized backpack.

Just One / J107 Dragonfly, "Kit & Kaboodle" Package deal, in Mossy Oak Brush, with all the accessories, including the gun scabbard cover, etc.

This is gonna be suh-weet; been wanting one for awhile! I already have the "X1" and love it. This came down to the J107, J107M, the Phantom, and the Blue Widow as the final contenders. Eberlestock is good stuff, Maynard! :)

Badlands packs are high-quality too (I have a BL fanny pack), but Eberlestocks are the pig's feces.

By the way, the Barta Pack is $80 off and the Halftrack is $100 off right now...

P.S. This is more for backpacking in general than hunting, but I hope someday to go on a real pack in & hunt trip.

Hee hee -shipping notice today!

PM me in a week or so if you want to see pics. :)

Anyone here think that 4700 ci is enough to get me to my blind and back - it's nearly a quarter mile away from the pickup!! :p

you'll be happy with the dragonfly. It gets real big if you decide you need more room with the addition of a spike camp duffle. It does adjust to fit most (i'm also vertically challenged at about 5'7). The added bonus is the molle on the belt allows you to put on usefull items like a shell bag or a game pouch.

for bagpacking i use my Lowe Alpine Frontier (75+20 lt) (http://www.lowealpine-usa.com/). for hunting or hiking or a backpacking trip 3 days or under i use my CamelBak's TransFormer (http://www.borelliconsulting.com/recevals/campback/cbtransformer.htm). the CamelBak is about $150 the the Lowe Alpine is bout $220. i have put both of them through hell and back on 2 contents and half a dozen countries (not just hunting but hiking and backpacking too)
