Do Magpul followers work significantly better?

I have green followers in all my Okay Industry and other mags. My Bushmaster has had reliability problems with feeding from mags.
Is it likely that the solution is to replace all of my followers with Magpul followers (for about $2.50 each), and what is the difference between Gen II and Gen III? Thanks.

There is a world of difference. The only time that my Bushmaster has ever jammed is when I used a non-Magpul follower. I can't remember if it was black or green. Even then, my rifle was bone dry and hadn't been cleaned. Since then NOTHING. Works flawlessly.:) But yeah, Magpuls are the way to go. They are magic. For 2.50 each, they are the best upgrade at any price you can get for your gun.

in my experience, the problem with mags is usually the feed lips or spine cracking, not the actual follower.
however, they do feel noticeably better and are difficult to tilt, so for that price, i figured, why not?
still, if budget is a concern, mark the mags that don't work in your hamster and then just stop using those mags. if NONE of the mags work in that gun, then adding magpul followers will solve nothing

Magpul followers are not a magic elixir to make a bad mag feed right.
If it won't feed with a green GI follower, it isn't going to feed with a Magpul follower either.
We are fighting wars with green-follower mags quite successfully, thank you!
The whole anti-tilt thing got started many years ago with the original black-follower GI 30-round mags.
They would tilt enough to not be able to keep up when used in full-auto M-16's due to the high-frequency vibration.
The green follower fixed it.
I doubt you can pull the trigger fast enough to cause the same problem with an AR-15!
Still, Magpul followers are really cheap in the grand scheme of AR accessories.
So if they give you the warm fuzzies, try it. They can't hurt anything.
