Even toy guns are becoming taboo now in the hands of children. I was going through my email at work today and there was an email about a Toys for Tots collection this week. It got me thinking that maybe people would like to join me in buying a bunch of toy guns - cap guns, squirt guns, whatever - and donate them to their local Toys for Tots programs.
At the very least, it will antagonize the antis working in the local TfT outfits!
What do you think?
Sorry - I know it's not a very high-impact plan... :o

Both the Salvation Army's "Angel Tree" program and the USMC's "Toys for Tots" program refuse toy guns, knives, etc. as being "inappropriate." One wonders what type of lace panties today's Marines must be wearing to prohibit Marines from giving out toy Marines and their toy equipment. One also wonders about an "Army" whose management employees actually carry rank as officers doing the same thing. FWIW, I do not give to any of these "anti" charities, as there are plenty of other reputable outlets for my Christian charity, some of which are pro-gun, and some of which simply do not have a stance.

I think it might be because some parents have moral or religious objections to toy guns. They are not pushing for anti-gun legislation, and the military is one of the CMP's sponsors.

I think you might be missing the point of those restrictions. It's not that the organizations are anti gun.

It's a parents job to decide whether their kids should have toy guns. Random toy guys in packages would remove the parents from that.

Well if the "parents" want to look THIS gift horse in the mouth, they will definitely get bit! I have no patience with moronic leeches. :banghead:
