I ran across what looked like a stevens 520 w/ the humpback receiver and ~30" barrel, but it was marked riverside arms company. Teh shotgun was is great shape and I'm sure I could get it for ~$200otd. Any info would be appreciated!

Go for it, they are nice old shotguns. They were made by Stevens, but sold under different names as well and designed by John M. Browning. I don't know about all of them, but the examples I have handled have a 5+1 capacity and they are good shooters. Plus you get the additional take down feature as well.by turning the mag tube you loosen a bushing and the entire gun can be transported in two pieces.

+1 Monkyboy. I've had one for almost 40yrs ( 20ga. Wards Westernfield label) Loved it as kid, That gun had/has absolutly devastating effect on countless pheasant & rabbit. Still love it as an "old man"
