Don't have details yet, but just got 2 breaking news e-mail alerts (CBS & CNN) that some vials of Bubonic Plague samples are Missing/Presumed Stolen from a Texas Tech Lab. As if we didn't enough stuff to be concerned about...:what:
This situation does beg the question, though ...... What is a College Campus doing with Bubonic Plague samples ? ? ? ?
Or is it the Medical Research Facilities of Texas Tech ? I am not familliar with what Texas Tech has in term of Medical Research, so if someone knows, please enlighten us all

Calm down. It wasn't Bubonic Plague. It was some bacteria cultures that *could* be used to create plague. And they found them all.

Now, less than 45 minutes later, suddenly the vials are all accounted for. What in the cornbread he** is going on at Texas Tech ? ? ? ? ?
ยท Missing vials in Texas that contained bubonic plague cultures are accounted for and there is no threat to public safety, authorities say.
Quote is from new CNN breaking news alert.
No details on either story, yet.

Interesting.
What kind of nut would announce something like this to the public at large? And how much imagination does it take to think that if it were announced someone else would have the sense to announce it was all OK and it wasn't Plague anyway...even if it's not and and it is.

I dont think, due to form of transmission, we have anything to worry about from Bubonic plague. I may be wrong though as these Islamic militants may have succeeded in grafting rat genes into themselves. I dont think that they would have to fear rejection of different type of genetic material and they allready got the fleas.

Is this a big deal? Here in Colorado, the prarie dogs are a Human Plague reservoir and there have been several cases.
