The media would have us believe that
there has been no (USA) terrorist attacks since 9/11/01
Forgetting this one.

Victoria Hen was a victim of terrorism in America. She was shot and killed as she sat at her desk by Hesham Mohamed Hadayet on July 4, 2002, at the El Al ticket counter in Los Angeles International Airport. She was born in Israel and emigrated with her family to the US in 1990. Particularly sad is the fact that her family had planned a surprise party for her the next day where her boyfriend intended to propose. To add to the unimaginable tragedy for the family, Victoria's 18-year-old brother Nim was killed just four months later in a traffic accident with a hit-and-run driver. The LAX shooter was born in Egypt and lived here for a time as an illegal alien and was even considered for deportation until he got lucky when his wife won the Diversity Lottery. Even though Hadayet went to LAX armed to the teeth, expressed anti-American and anti-Israeli views and shot six people before he was killed by security, it took nine months for the FBI to call the crime an act of terrorism. In addition, it was reported just a few days after the shooting that Hadayet was connected with Egyptian Islamic Jihad and al Qaeda.

I always had the impression that this was more an act of a deranged individual lashing out than a political statement.

Is that what you think the Beltway Sniper was also? Just a deranged couple of guys with no agenda who just happen to be Muslim?

I would say it was clearly both.

Just when I think I can't get more PO'd about the swiss cheese we call an immigration policy, someone shows me this website. Actually thanks for pointing it out -I'm going to bookmark it for my pro-immigration aquaintences.

Although not nearly as bad as some of the cases documented in the site listed above, the 'person' who played a starring role in the article below was waiting for his green card. Unbelieveably - even though he's a convicted felon, he may still get citizenship while in prison! That's MA for you.

That's just the kind of "reality challenged" comment one would expect from a liberal...

I remember that day.

This is exactly what Bin Laden was calling for, every Muslim should rise up and attack the "Great Satan" and the "Little Satan".

As it turns out, it was just an isolated incident. As expected, most Muslims here just want to be left alone to make their way in America. Just like all of us.

However, this does not excuse the way the media will totally squash the fact that a very small percentage of Muslims who vow "Death To America" and then go on to carry it out.

The difference in attitude after the war in Afghanistan was won is astounding. We all wanted "Johnny Taliban" strung up from the nearest street lamp, yet since then we've had 3 incidents with absolutely no media coverage like John Walker Lindh:

1. Hesham Mohammad Hedayet on 7/4/02 at the El Al counter.

2. Assan Akbar/Marl Cools fragging his officers because "they're coming to our lands to rape our women".

3. Now, Yousef Lee the US Army Guantanamo chaplain spying for someone?

We take the High Road here, and its a touchy subject, so I will once again emphasize that 99% of the Muslim community here is not any way supportive of the aims of Al Queda or their ilk; however it seems as if the media has made a policy of totally ignoring the link between radical Islam and these attacks/incidents. The government seems only too eager to comply.

Such PC denial bodes ill for the "War on Terror".

We can't let the sheep get scared!
If that happens........they may start asking questions!
And God forbid........buy guns to defend themselves!

Concur w/Mark Tyson. While both are bad, the former who killed Victoria Hen was politically motivated (and acting independently of organized terrorism) and the latter were just two sick sacks of garbage whose egos were buoyed by instilling fear in others. I'd be happy to spend a year or so sitting on their juries.
