500 MAG Bullets?

Got a question for masses. I have a BFR in 500 S&W that I'll be picking up in the next week or so and I'm working on a start load for it. I've decided that I'm going to stick with H110 since I have much of it around for my 357 and 44 loads. My question is about bullet weight. I was able to pickup some 300 gr Hornady XPT bullets for 50 AE local and for a cheap price. Can I use these in the new 500 mag Haornady cases I ordered? I'm not new to loading by any means but have always used what was specified and not done too much experimentation. Dose anyone else have an load data for a similar circumstance?
Thanks for any input!

You can perhaps use them.

The problem lies in the fact they are auto-pistol bullets, and do not have a crimp Cannelure for a revolver roll crimp on them.

You may have problems keeping them in the cases at .500 S&W recoil levels without a heavy roll crimp.

But if you heavy roll-crimp them, you stand a chance of damaging the jacket and causing a jacket separation.

That would possibly leave behind a partial jacket stuck in the bore.

I have used bullets made for a 50AE in a 500 S&W but in an Encore and not a revolver. I don't think these are a good choice for a revolver.

After quite a bit of shooting, the load that gave me 1 to 1.5 inch 3 shot 100 yard groups were 400 grain Sierra Sports Master bullets over H110/Win. 296.

I have 40 or 50 AE shells i have sitting around i would like to load up. I was considering the Rainier platted HP for plinking. How many bullets you got? I was considering the Speer Gold-Dot HP for hunting but i didn't know they made an XPT, or is it XTP. The Hornadys are nearly a dollar a bullet.
