This is a Winchester 92, 100% condition, 25-20 WFC. I don't think thta it was refurbished at any point, but i could be wrong.
I don't have the rifle with me right now, so i can't take pics, or read the numbers...
Does anyone have a clue on the value?
Thanks.

If it were truly 100% it would be worth several thousand dollars.
A saddle-ring carbine would probably add to that.

Not sure about the saddle ring part, but it is 100%, or at least my understadnding of it. maybe 99%, but i could not find anything wrong with it, the guy who owned it was a firearms collector, and quite wealthy...
This belongs to the same person as that SA colt from my other thread. That is why i can't find out if it has been redone...

Well, since the "SA" was not even a real gun, it is going to take some showing to get anybody to say it is worth anything.

Yeah, i will be going sometime to look at it, and i will take pics. And try to find the serial #, where is it located?
Oh, and i have fired some of this persons other guns, and they are plenty real. At least they didn't blow up in my face.....

A real 92 will have the serial number on the bottom front of the receiver, right by the forend wood.

100% means as it came out of the factory the day it was made. Very few if any 1892 Winchesters outside of climate controlled cases regularly maintained are gonna be anywhere near that! The bluing usually has gone at least partial "plum". That gun must not have been shot if 100% , as the corrosive priming or earlier black powder really gets to the smaller bores.
My 1892 25-20 Octagonal rifle is in 70% and is worth about $1500 real dollars.

Okay, so this has no (maybe a nick) problems with the outside, perfect wood, super bore, ect. What % is it?

Look in the front page's of the Blue Book of Gun Values for a descriptin of NRA %. If gun is not refinished but bight and crisp like new, screws not buggered in the least and no wear marks from cycling visable on hammer ,bolt trigger magazine follower ect. Bore bright and crisp, case hardened parts in full bright colors and straw colors on bright parts clear ect. Wood finish as factory ect. with a few small dings then it is 99%. If that is the case then this 92 is worth AT LEAST $3000, much more if a rare variation.

Check out www.collectorsfirearms.com They have a fairly good selection of both the rifles and the Colts that you can use as a reference for your own guns.
