i have always used .451 jacketed bullets in my 45 auto. and .452 (and some .453") lead cast bullets. i have also seen .4515" jacketed bullets that were supposed to be ok for use in 45 auto's. is .452" JACKETED bullets to large in a 45 acp? i realize if they are ok, that i will have to back down the powder some, but i am curious if just the bullet alone will be to large.

They should be fine. As long as they seat straight and fit in the chamber, you are good to go.

I would not be surprised if they are .451 for most of their lenngth and just .4515 or .452 at the base, (pressure ring) but, they may be .452.

I use .452 cast in my 1911 and my XD.
It’s fine, 1/1000th of an inch isn’t much.
