Beautiful weather today for shooting and testing this spotter. Clear and sunny, approx. 50 degrees, light (2-3mph) breeze.

My eyesight is 20-20 and I do not wear corrective lenses.

At 100 yds, .30 cal holes were clearly visible, as they should be. I did find however that it was easier to spot quickly at 20-25X when shots were in the black. Adorama advertises this scope as having good eye relief, and it does, even at higher magnification. Shooting glasses did not prevent me from viewing easily throughout the magnification range. Though I didn't shoot .22 today, there should be no problem seeing holes at 100-150 yds.

At 200 yds., .30 cal holes are still visible, but I had to strain a bit more to get a clear picture of the target.

I made a quick glance at about 325 yds and was not able to pick out any bullet holes. The clarity of the target deteriorated considerably between 200 and 300 yds. Please note however that this was not a detailed or scientific observation. I was not looking at my own shots on clean targets at either 200 or 300 yrds. I did not spend much time at these ranges and a grain of salt is hereby placed upon the bench.

In general, the scope performed better at lower than higher magnification, which is probably true for any scope under $1000.
Focusing is more difficult the higher you go and the resolution of the image goes down. This is not to say that I couldn't see at 45X, it was just more difficult.

For $80 American, I think this is a decent scope that will do exactly what I need...for now. I'm a casual shooter and really just wanted something to keep me at the firing line as opposed to calling the range cold to go check my groups. FWIW, I originally purchased this for $100, but Adorama credited me the $20 when I called them about this link...

Hey Mike...that sounds good. After our discussions on the other thread at the end of last week, I went ahead and ordered one also. At first they said I would get it next month (back ordered). A day later and they said it's on it's way. :)

$95 to my door.......

Glad you got your $20 credit by the way.....I think turned you on to the "sale price" after the fact.

If it works at 100 - 150 yards, I'll be happy. At 200 yeards, very happy.

Good shooting......;)
