opinions on H&R excell auto?

They are very good shotguns for the money. I own two of them. I haven't shot slugs out mine. Slug accuracy will vary with shotguns. You will have to try different ones and see which ones shoot the best in your shotgun. The new ones with the Remington style receivers have more and better features. The Excell is the same shotgun as the Verona SX 405 shotgun. Parts, choke tubes and barrels interchange.

I ordered the slug barrel for mine from H&R. <2" group @ 75 yards. Cant ask for more than that. Reliable all purpose gun. I dont think youll regret buying one!

CDNN has the Verona 405 smooth bore barrels that will fit the Excell A5. They have them in 24" & 26" length for $50 each. That's a deal. It is a closeout special so they won't have them long.
