SR 4756 actually works very well in 9MM. Very clean too. :)
You should pick up a reloading manual or two
Agreed. If you don't know the difference between pistol and rifle powders, you definitely have some reading to do.

I have had good success with WST in both 9mm and .40 in the past (don't load those calibers anymore, though, but I still use the powder in .38 and .45). It is very similar to the WSF Walkalong recommended in his first post. There are three virtues to it - 1) VERY clean - cleanest powder in pistol use I've ever seen 2) very efficient - a little goes a long way, 3) Can be very, very accurate.

I have had good luck using Hodgdon Universal in .380, 9mm, 9mm Largo, .40 and .45.

loading for my 9mm Para pistol (S&W 5906) and Marlin Camp 9 I use Bullseye for cast slugs (don't do very well in my Camp) and Power Pistol for jacketed.

Ya know sometimes this site is not very conducive to newbys asking a few questions. Yeah maybe I don't know the properties of all the powders out there yet, but there is no use in making me feel like a complete idiot, just for asking a few questions. Geesh man, give me a break, thats all I have been doing is reading books and manuals on this stuff lately! I'm just saying man, I think sometimes you guys that have been loading for twenty years forget sometimes that there are a few of us out there who are just getting into this stuff and you don't learn it over night! Don't take this the wrong way guys, just had to vent.

I'm sure it can feel overwhelming, and I thought my post would give you some guidance and encouragement. I can email you a .pdf of some IMR data, and would be more than happy to help you one on one via email, PM, or phone. If you want, let me know your phone number, a good time to call you, and we can go from there.
Please let me know what you think.

My venting's were not directed at one particular person really. But thanks for your help.

I've been reloading now for about two weeks now, and there are just some things you can't get from a book. There's nothing like real time experience, or advise from someone who has that experience. I don't really know anybody who can help me personally so sometimes I turn the the net for answers.
