Where can I get sound drivers for my Compaq Presario---preferably free?

You might try asking somewhere other than a forum that deals with firearms.

Don't tell anyone, but I heard that the manufacturer's website might actually have support and drivers for your computer. You might try HP.com, since they own Compaq.
