Dec. 14: Police Chief Frank Ismanodo of the Mount Salem, II Police Department has confirmed that Richard Drafourne of 183 Chisolm Way was shot dead by federal agents early this morning when the agents raided his home as part of a gun confiscation. He stated that Drafourne was personally known to him to be a firearm's enthusiast. Drafourne’s wife Isabelle was also wounded by gunfire during the raid.

Federal agencies are keeping mum; however a source who cannot be identified because he was not authorized to release information to the press about this incident confirmed that: "It was a routine firearms confiscation from Drafourne who was an NRA member, and member of his local gun club.” According to the source Drafourne, who was 34, was also a regular visitor to his local church, and was a member of the Young Republicans For The 2nd Amendment, an organization that had vehemently spoken out against usurpation of 2nd amendment rights. Drafourne is survived by his wife, two children, and mother. His wife Isabelle is currently listed in critical condition in St. Jude's Hospital secure care wing. All of Drafourne’s family members were arrested by the agents and with the exception of his wife are now being held at the federal detention center in Piarea.

To Date ACE agents have seized over 10,000 legally owned firearms, effected 2,000 arrests of firearms owners who objected to their authority to effect confiscations of legally owned firearms, have wounded 546 citizens and three resident aliens firearms owners, and have killed 15 citizen firearms owners during government firearms confiscations throughout the nation. All of the confiscations were authorized by executive order of the president.

President Barry Ali Oslamya has refused to make comment on the 15th such killing of a United States Citizen Firearms' Owner within the first year of his administration; however he has made it clear in the past that he is vehemently opposed to 2nd amendment rights as being those of the average citizen. When questioned by reporters about the current situation, President Oslamya stated: "Ahhh, errr, ahhh, there was a citizen who refused to obey my executive order.” The president then immediately transitioned to a discussion of the failing fiscal bailout of the financial industry and how more sacrifices must be made by taxpayers in order to bolster America’s stricken economy. Taxes have risen to a rate of 50% of income under his current plan.

The agents who took part in the 4AM raid on the Drafourne residence are all believed to be members of the newly instituted federal agency - American Civilian Enforcement. While media photographers were not allowed near the site, all law enforcement vehicles seen entering and leaving the area were marked ACE in huge bold lettering and were evidently occupied by heavily armed federal agents in brown shirts with the ACE and FEDERAL AGENT – POLICE logos on their jackets, many also bore the double S insignia of the Special Services branch of that agency. Most of the original members of this group of law enforcement officers were selected from among the ranks of the now defunct Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives which was dismantled in order to create and staff ACE. BATFE Agents not selected to fill these positions were among the first citizens to have their legally owned firearms confiscated and to be imprisoned under the executive order of President Oslamya.

Newly appointed National Rifle Association President Timothy Hictchcok, a descendant of old west shootist Crazy Will Hictchcok, has issued a statement from a secret location condemning the actions by federal authorities and calling for the people to rise up and unite in a common front against what he called "...the most tyrannical regime since the former USSR." Hitchcok's appointment was rushed during an emergency meeting of NRA board members. Hictchcok, and other NRA board members, has been in hiding in an undisclosed location since the arrest of former NRA president Wayne LaPierre. A day after his arrest on weapons charges, Lapierre was reported to have committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt in his jail cell. Investigation of claims that it appeared LaPierre had bruises and scratches indicating a violent struggle have been poohed by the Oslamya administration and the investigation into possible homicide has been closed by the FBI. The Bureau of Prisons' guard who made those allegations has been placed on indefinite administrative leave and has remained unavailable for comment. A warrant for the arrest of Hitchcok has been issued and for the first time in decades the wanted posters distributed by the FBI list this man as "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE".

Of course this is all hypothetical satire, with absolutely no reference made to any actual person living or dead; and no reference made to any real actions taken by any real federal or other law enforcement agencies.

Now tell me - As a Free and Firearm's Owning American - would you be ready for something like this? You surely will not be ready for it if you are not armed; but exactly what plan do you have in place if such tyranny actually begins? To be quite frank, I think it is on the near horizon, and I think we as a nation are not ready for it in our complacency. Maybe we ought to start thinking and preparing for the worst.

Why, well take a look here, that was enough to convince me:

http://capnbob.us/blog/2008/12/13/obamas-empty-second-amendment-promises/

So is the legal nightmare, the usurpation of our rights under the 2nd Amendment, that I satirically descrbed above about to befall us. If so, what can we do with the bounds of legality, morality, ethcis and the right to be free men in order to oppose it? Is there anything witin the bounds of decency and our Constitution that we can do, above and beyond political activitism and beyond joining and donating to groups like the NRA, to get ready to form a united opposition to such turanny should it rear its ugly head?

All the best,
Glenn B

President Barry Ali Oslamya

Haven't we had enough of this juvenile crap?

I understand that you're trying to make a serious point, but this really undermines your credibility.

Regardless of what you may thinnk of my mental stability based upon a satirical piece I have written, it does not give you liberty to call my mother a bitch. With knowledge now that the High Road has fallen into the sewers, I can tell you where to go but to what practical end. Should you ever like to meet in person and refer to my mom as a bitch, I'll be glad to arrange the meeting.

You think it chilkdish. You are getting stuck uip on a fictitious name. Did you read the peice and then the piece to which I linked? In satire, real names are not used. If you find satire childish, I ask do you have even a HS diploma? Are you not aware of the current situation in which we find opurselves. I used a satirical piece, with bogus names, to be able to protect my job as a federal agent. This way I am protected as opposed to if I mentioned the actual president elect in that manner.

Did you not see the questions the president elect is demanding any applicant for a job within his administration answer in order to apply for a job. Stick with the concept I wrote about, not the names I used. It only shows your own immaturity to direct your attack at the anmes instead of the meat of the argument, that is what I would expect of liberals.

I agree with all above posts, EXCEPT those by Bartley.

So tell me Bartley, if this place we all live in is to become what you write and one is so worried about it, when ya leaving the country???

What next, my dad can beat up your dad?

I see that important discussion on these forums has degenerated to drivel by the likes of the 3 replies above. Why bring up my mother or my dad, why not stck to the issue presented in that the president elect has made obvious he intends to put down the 2nd.

No I am not about to leave my country. I will defend it and her Constitution.

For those who don't know, Glenn Bartley is an activist known for a hard-charging style. I generally don't agree with anything he says, but he has a right to express himself responsibly.

Glenn - So a guy called you SOB. Big deal. Let it pass so this thread can stay open for some public debate on the issue.

My response to the original post:
Hypothetical situations are fun to talk about, but this one is too far over the top. Get real. Would I be ready for something like this? It's so improbable that it's not even worthy of my response.

You mean the public debate about to whether or not I am paranoid, or if I am a SOB or if my dad can beat someone elses dad, or if I am leaving the country, or whethe ror not any of that stuff belongs on THE HIGH ROAD. You mean that kind of debate of the issues. Oh please. I won't be bothering with this site again after today. Links on my blog already removed. My email to the admin to remove my user privileges here already sent in. I'll visit the real High Road from now on.

I can't believe that I read several paragraphs before it was shown to be a crap report.

I'm of the belief that our firearms rights have come a long way in the last 20-25 years and that Obama has way bigger fish to fry than taking my guns.

That in no way means any of us should or can relax our vigilance. But it does mean that Obama is your president and that we need to work within our means to continue to bring over non-believers and correct public disinformation.

Satire and alarmist Satire are different. Simpsons/South Park = Satire. Global warming and Manbearpig...satire. Telling the Irish to eat their babies is satire. Propagating the myth that Obama is a muslim is alarmist.

You have every right to write what you want as does everyone responding to you.

So yeah, I think your satirical piece is alarmist and absurd. The House gets elected every 2 years, that keeps them from doing anything extreme, and the knowledge that last time they attacked the 2A they got replaced en masse doesn't hurt either.

A+ for creative writing.

Ridiculing a person's name ceased being funny in junior high, and propagating the lie that Obama is Muslim is just malignant. Jonathan Swift you ain't.

Did you not see the questions the president elect is demanding any applicant for a job within his administration answer in order to apply for a job.
I did. As I recall, of the sixty-some questions asked, one was about firearms. I don't find that unreasonable.

The Executive branch reports to the President. It's his prerogative to set the requirements for those hired.

Bartley, grow up. We, as gun owners, have a lot of serious work to do, especially with the new gang taking office in Washington. Your silly, childish, paranoid rant isn't helping any.

I second fiddletown's comment.

Mr. Bartley, I published a work of satire (about race riots in heaven) while in college and was only saved from being expelled from the conservative bible college where I was a ministerial student by a prof coming to my aid and using an "Emperor's New Clothes" defense. He made the powers that be either admit they were ignorant and unsophisticated thinkers (hard things for the holder of a PhD to admit) or that they understood the message behind my little story. I know satire. That was not satire. I smelled something off about the piece from the get go. Alarmist tripe like that accomplishes nothing.

If Barama and his minions choose to do something bad, then perhaps the time of the great experiment is past. Best dust off (or prepare) your SHTF/EOTWAWKI plan and get ready to hunker down. In point of fact there is really nothing folks like us can do to stop them. If one of the conservative SCOTUS AJs or even the CJ were to die suddenly there would be absolutely nothing that would effectively be illegal. In any case, the storm clouds will be on the horizon a while before the storm hits. There will be time to prepare and hunker down.
