I've been looking for an ex LEO 226 in good shape for a while. Today I found one for $475 with 2 factory high caps. Finish is 95%, even, with no scratches. Barrel hood shows minor wear so I don't think it was shot much. Only problem is nite sites are dim, near the end of their life. I put gun on hold. Think I should follow up on purchase?

Sure. The 226 is a great gun. That's probably not the greatest price in the world but also not totally out of line.

With nice finish and the two high caps, that's a decent price in most places. You'll never regret buying a P226.

I would say a good deal. I just bought one recently.

Finish even and about 85% (all holster wear from carrying), 3 high cap mags, and night sights (mine were plenty bright).

Trijicon replacements will only run around $100 bucks or so. The mags alone are worth some bucks.
