K Mart (Australia) gun paranoia

From the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia website:

From the Arms Collectors Guild of Queensland Journal of June 2003 comes the
following story:

“One member has recounted the dangers of having photographic prints
processed at the Chermside K Mart (and presumably at any K Mart). The
processing people passed to the police a set of prints featuring firearms
all lined up to have their pictures taken. The upshot was a raid on the
member’s residence by carloads of police from the Major Crime Unit armed
with a search warrant and lots of other things. Nothing untoward found as
all items were duly licensed. I hope you have all absorbed the contents of
this little object lesson. It could happen to anyone in these
paranoid times. Be alert for sure, and perhaps a little alarmed”
:cuss: :fire:

K Mart had better brace themselves for the backlash over this ....

(NOTE: K Mart Australia is totally independent of K Mart USA ... they just have similar morons running the show apparently.)

Seems like these kind of incidents pop up every so often. Believe it or not, there have been a couple of times where this has happened in the USA as well.

Seems like a good reason to buy a digital camera.

Or maybe process your own film. Maybe use polariod only, if 'ya don't have a digi-cam.

Knowledge is power.

Knowing the Australian K-Mart's are doing this, it should be regarded as an opportunity.

Take pictures of guns . . . masked men holding guns . . . men in turbans holding guns . . . pictures of Australian landmarks . . . and sign in the film using the name & address of some leftist politician in Queensland.

Resort to using a digital camera.

Thank God I bought a digital Camera!

I'd hate to see the amount of cops that would raid my place after getting film developed at Target.

I had the same thought awhile back. That's why I bought a digital camera. Plus you save on developing. My printer takes the card for processing or I can hook it up to the computer.

I never thought that I would use it as much as I have.

Stupid stuff like this is why, here in the States, I would never own a dewat machine gun.

There seems to be a never ending stream of stories about dewat owners being turned in by a snoopy neighbor or photo shoppe attendant for their having a "machine gun". Jack booted thugs burst down the door....good people get shot....property gets trashed....court room/lawyer time gets consumed.....all over a stupid dewat.

In my RKBA novel, I turn this picture-paranoia around 180*. After semi-autos are banned, gun owners send thousands of photos of the guns they will refuse to turn in to the White House and FBI as a warning.
