and took it home and shot it in my backyard pistol range, and ......
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I guess I owe y'all one. Plus, I then got to take it back to my law office after lunch and brag about it to like-minded attorneys at my office.
I predict a great future for me and this gun. And, although I am still quite new to handguns, I do believe I have a distinct affinity for revolvers. I now own three revolvers to one 1911.
Which probably means I'll have to even that up in the future. Of course.

I envy you. A great addition to anyone's collection. It is on my list for when I get a raise or win the Lotto...

PcolaDawg, allow me to direct your attention to the rest of the fine revo family - the .44 Special and the .41 Magnum. Of course with these calibers you'll definitely want to look into loading your own ammunition. Only then will you achieve nirvana. P.S. for the 625 use only good steel moon clips. The plastic ones are for kids.

How's the trigger? Is it really close to "Jerry-spec"?
PS, a nice Les Baer would be good company for the 625...

Here ya go. Here's a pic of the new gun along with some newly filled moon clips. And, to whoever provided the link to mooncliptool.com -- I thank you!!

I didn't even know they sold plastic moon clips, fwiw.
Thanks for directing my attention to the .44 and .41 Magnum. I am very new to handguns, so I appreciate any help in that area. I am also a fast learner, and I am very much eager to learn. :D

Y'know, I'm too ignorant at this point to even know. I can tell you that I had no idea it was a Jerry Miculek when I first picked it up at the gun store (I'd never even heard of Jerry Miculek), but I absolutely loved the trigger action, the feel and the weight. Love at first dry-fire.

Thanks. Until you mentioned 'Les Baer' I'd never even heard of it. But I have since looked it up and am very interested. I'm not going to go out tomorrow and buy a gun, but I am thinking that the next gun I get will be a 5" 1911. I have a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry and now I'm interested in getting a bigger 1911 for some serious target shooting. Les Baer looks like he has some very nice 5" 1911s.
Thanks again.

It might be too nice. Two of my kids last night were already fighting over who gets it when I die. :fire:
I'm only 46. I'd like to hang onto it for awhile longer.

Love at first dry-fire.I heard on an episode of shooting gallery (or one of those shows) that he likes a really heavy, but smooth, DA pull, I think part of it is the heavy return spring so he can fire so fast. I could stand a heavy pull, but it has to be smooth.

Here is a new-this-year goodie that will go just fine with that 625JM: a 627 Pro (SKU #178014). This 8-shot .38/.357M has a 4" barrel and comes with the same springloaded front sight as the 625JM. Both of mine have aftermarket HiViz front sights - a tool-less change in seconds. I have had various wood grips in place of the rubber Hogues that came on it. It has other standard features that make it a keeper, for sure - including moonclip capability (Warning: The .45 ACPs & 625 spoil you!).
