Well I took the first step into reloading and bought Lee Classic kits in 9mm, .357mag, .45ACP, .44mag, .223, .308 & 30-06. I figure in a worst case scenereo I can reload.
What powder and primers to use?
How is Winchester 231 ? I looks like I can use it for all my hand gun calibers, yes? is 296 only to be used in loading for the .357 & .44 mag?
4895 for the .223, .308 & .30-06?
And Primers? What do you use?
Thanks

invest in the lee second edition reloading guide. its worth its weight in gold and will answer most of the questions you have.
also, i use whatever primers i can grab. i personally like winchester though.

I've use Federal, CCI, Winchester, & Magtech primers. All have been good. Most of my current stash is CCI. Download the info from the powder manufactuers print and put into a book. I also have the Lyman manual...very good.
