Well, I have that brush, which is for he tube, plus another one for the bladder, which resembles a baby bottle brush. I also have the hanger, which lets the inside breath and let's you hang it on a hook, or clothes line/rod.
Got mine from either Nashbar or Performance, -- been a few years. As far as the "tablets" I see in the photo, I just use a bleach solution and/or baking soda. The bleach solution will kill, while the baking soda removes odors and makes everything smell --springtime fresh!
But cleaning those things and keeping them dry between uses is critical. Last thing you need when your out in the woods, on the bike or at one of your classes is to get violently ill with a GI bug. The only thing you want projecting is the ammunition.

Not the field cleaning kit, but I have the brush set and dryer/hanger. Only take a few minutes of scrubbing, and then I let it sit for a few hours with the water/bleach solution.
Still, being that my Camelbak is over 4 years old, the bladder is no longer blue; it's more of a brownish color. Only thing that's been inside it is water.

I just got a cleaning kit from REI,
Hydracare, from REI (http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=12921714&parent_category_rn=4500805)
Won't do you much good in the field, but works good for home time cleaning.

I wonder if those effervescent tablets would work as well as those made by Camelbak. Afterall, they're made for cleaning dentures and stuff...

Little trick from my pre-fat cycling days:
To dry the inside of the bladder after cleaning (by whatever method you prefer), stuff a couple of crumpled paper towels into the bladder. Blow enough air through the bite valve to inflate the bladder and then shake the dickins out of the thing. The paper towels will bounce around and absorb water from every nook and cranny. You'll end up with a bladder that is reasonably dry inside. Repeat as necessary.
Hope someone finds this helpful.

That's exactly what I do, but then I also put the collapsible hanger in there so that I can air it out afterwards.
