The actual "event" has not been publicized, as far as I can tell, by the person promoting it, although the media got wind of it somehow.
I'm all for making a public showing of support to restore our rights. However, this "stunt" could have some unintended consequences.
The person organizing this is one of the plaintiffs in the case on CCW that began in Hamilton County (Cincinnati) and is noe pending before the Ohio Sup. Ct. He has given out misleading information over the radio, such as you can ahve a gun in your car if its unloaded and the action is open, but you can also have a loaded magazine next to it. This is false, misleading, and very dangerous to our cause.
This event could backfire very bad. These people could basically provide
the Ohio Sup. Ct. with a reason to rule against us:
"You can carry without being arrested, if open, and that meets your
constitutional rights"
We all know the only reason they won't be arrested: Large group, lawyers
present, television cameras watching.
While this is a great stunt, it's figuratively speaking a "loaded gun."
For these reasons, OFCC has not decided whether to support it. They know that it will happen whether they are involved or not

henry,
i agree. altho i would support an unarmed gathering, a demonstration exhibiting holstered arms is just too confrontational for my taste. the potential for disaster is too great

eally, I think that violence or a violent confrontation is EXTREMELY remote. The potential disaster is as discussed above.
