apparently .org has polls disabled. Dupes of this can be deleted.

Polls aren't disabled. Why do you think that?

Yes, I can get to APS. I could this afternoon when others were saying they couldn't.

I can't connect to APS, I am in Oregon using Charter Cable Modem. According to Firefox the connection is taking too long/timing out.

Mal - I tried clicking 'start a poll' and then 'submit' the thread simply posted instead. Generally, in vB, that would take me to another screen where I would enter poll information. Give it a try?

No good from SC using Bellsouth.net (AT&T). Been about 3 days or so now.

Ben - creating a poll worked without a hitch. I did nothing admin-wise. Members create polls
here all the time. Example (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=413897)

Here's the test poll: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=414009

Maybe the "Yes, post a poll" check box didn't take the mouse click when you tried it. I dunno.

Neither APS or dot-us, using Wild Blue. I believe the uplink for my usage is at Del Rio. (Wild Blue apparently has several uplink locations.)
