Does anyone have (or has shot) one of these? If so, what's your impression of it? When my father died I inherited one, which I sold prior to ever shooting it.

Am I missing something? He used it for duck hunting -- mostly when the weather was too crappy to take out his cherry Model 12.

IIRC, the thing was ugly and heavy. However, I'm wondering if it has its followers out there.

Anyone?

Bueller?

Anyone?

I've got one in 20ga that was my grandfather's squirrel gun.

I like it. I took it hunting a couple years ago and bagged a few squirrels with it myself.

I screwed it up by shooting slugs through it and stretching the full choke out to Mod (as measured by a smith). Before anyone says it ain't so, I can see where it is no longer tapered at the end of the barrel (when I first got it, it had a noticeable taper at the end of the barrel. :banghead:
So much for lead slugs not hurting fixed chokes...

I don't consider it heavy though. It's lighter than my 870 by a longshot.
