Finally got my new GP100 5" to the range what a blast. At 25 yards from a rest I was shooting 2-3" groups. This is pretty good for me one reason I bought the gun is I have a tremor in my strong side hand. I have a 3" mod. 60 that is hard to hit anything due to it's only 22 oz.. The GP is 43 oz and it dampens the shacking. At 35 yards I was popping clays every other round. I was shooting some 125gr. handloads and 158 gr. PMCs with a few 38 specials thrown in. The PMCs really shot well can't beat then for around $10 at gun shows. When I got done playing with the GP I went to the 100 yard range to sight in my Marlin 357. When I got done I thought what the heck lets see if I can hit the target with my GP. I only had targets that were 14" my first 6 shots one hit low. The best I could do was 2 out of 6 hits. I didn't think that was to bad for a guy with bad eyes and a shacky hand. Next time I'll take a larger target so I can get a better idea where I'm hitting. I was starting to pack up and I remembered I had my mod. 60 in my pocket. OK I had to try you never know I might be able to lob a 38 round into the target. I fired 5 rounds sa from a rest and went down and checked the target 2 hits 4-5" from the center. I did better with the darn little Smith. However the Smith does have a very nice sa trigger and the GP does need some trigger work.
