Saw an ad for Israel Defense Force AR-15s. They are in "New" condition for about $850. Anyone here know anything about these?

Hmmm...IDF used M16s, not AR15s to my knowledge.

They are probably built off of parts kits from Israel.

For our military aid they have to buy american made weapons or we don't help pay for it. Last I heard it was a 100$ cost for a M16 to the Israelis. We pay the rest. So I don't think a locally manufactured rifle M16 would be able to compete. Besides IMI now IWI doesn't make ar15/m16s as far as I have ever seen. (might make spare parts though I don't know and would doubt that though)

I know Century was making some AR's from imported parts. I believe they were using barrels, upper receivers, and lower parts mated to commercial lowers. Last I heard they were selling for $650.00.
