Congratulations. I have the standard 9mm witness, and I've enjoyed shooting it. It's so old I think I paid $220 for it new. Mags only hold 16 rounds, though.
I used to think it was just a knock-off of the CZ 75, but Tanfoglio actually improved a few elements. It's a lot of pistol, especially for the money.

I hope you get the "new" style mags with the spacer in front. The original style without the spacer can work, but often have feed problems with anything other than FMJ because the magazine is too long for the 9mm rounds.
Remember the large frame Witness which EAA "standardized" on recently is "universal" and the frame is sized for .45ACP/10mm/.38Super.
Mags only hold 16 rounds, though.
I believe the mags that hold only 16 rounds are for the older "Small Frame" Witness, for a while EAA offered both which leads to a lot of confusion. The large frame mags do indeed hold 18 9mm rounds.

WOW, that must be 15+ years ago.

It's early nineties vintage. Very sturdy, ergonomic and pleasant to shoot. Nothing fancy, but it seems that for every extra feature there is a price to be paid.
