My Delegate to the Virginia Legislature has been a staunch supporter of RKBA and shall-issue CCW in his first term, and is now concerned about the Democrats targeting him in the upcoming elections. I just got off the phone with Scott Lingamfelter, discussing his campaign and the after-effects of Isabella. Anyway, he bemoaned having wasted an hour on the phone with FEMA, complained in general terms about the bloated federal bureaucracy around D.C., and then utterred a statement I bet you'll all be envious of:
"They don't realize that WE are the best Homeland defense imaginable."

That just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. :D

That's good news, Leatherneck! Actually, when I read your thread title, my first reaction was to hope that Chuck Schumer had just suffered a fatal heart attack. Sometimes I think that I might not be a "nice" person. :p

Just so, Bob--I had that very thought as I posted the title. I wonder if any of his constituents thought of upChuck as "A good pol" when he was a local yokel?
